House Finch performs a sparkling aria 
in dazzling sun
"Sparrow dipped in raspberry juice" -
a fitting description.

Eagle hovers in front of me 
while I trudge the elliptical - 
the Eagle urging me on,
White feathers transparent
in the brightness of a new day.
