Short Quotes

My philosophy is a blend of Ayn Rand (yes - unlike some I consider her a philosopher) and the Moody Blues. I flip between humanistic misanthrope and misanthropic humanist like a quantum particle. Let us say these are seeds for further discussion. Possibly they will evolve and grow into full Pontification mode. Why is spell check redlining that word? Great - another topic on which to pontificate. This stuff nearly writes itself!

"Existence is a bad idea, poorly executed." fdp circa 1958

"Existence exists - get on with it." Ayn Rand whenever

"It has its moments, though." fdp recently

"In order to have a society, we have to pretend we have free will in order to have accountability. In reality, we don't." fdp

Everything Pogo said, but I like "insurmountable opportunity" in particular.

"Life is like a beanstalk, isn't it?" - Procul Harum

"Cogito ergo sum" - Descartes - the only 100% probability? What else do we "know?"

What's "epistomology" anyway. I can't even spell it!
